Looks like there are some issues with the 2.0.1 firmware from Apple.

I updated it last week and all was well. Then this morning, I pick up the Touch and the back was very hot to the touch (no pun intended!). The back of the Touch is metal and it was so hot that it was uncomfortable to hold. When I clicked it on, it was under 10% battery so I decided to shut it off. Bad mistake…

Its now 9:43 am, the Touch has been plugged in for 1 hour and it’s still at the Apple startup screen. I’ve powered off a couple times but to no avail. I’m thinking reflash right now but the 2.0 and 2.0.1 images are on another computer.

I might be touchless this weekend if I don’t “download” it from somewhere…

Also, when I plug it in iTunes hangs. Nice…

update: Restored firmware via power off, poweron with homekey depressed and restored all apps from last backup. Total time – 3 hours…
