Like many midwesterners, we leave our bottled drinks out in the garage in the Winter. It keeps it refreshingly cool without any electricity. Walk out in the slight chill and get a bottle.
Take a refreshing sip and say “Ahhhhh….”. Our 5 year old only really drinks water. Given a choice of pop, juice or cool water, she would choose the latter.
I’ve been trying to teach her the proper way to sip from the bottle, upper lips in the neck and not over the rim. Lets airflow flow into the bottle allowing more cool crisp liquid into your throat. For some reason this still escapes her.
So when she drinks after munching on stuff, the bottle is invariably hers. She sucks on it so hard that the force ejects all the crumbs, bits, and chunks of morsels of food back into the bottle. Its like a shimmering, snowstorm of … stuff… completely icky, daughter or not.
Now she just gets her own 21 cent bottle of Nestle Pure Life. She actually understand why but really doesn’t care.
