Found a Cool widget at the Heroes page. I added it below.

Looks like they’ll be CSI’ing Heroes, by making a spinoff…

Tsk, tsk, money grubbing fools.

Mashup Smashup

Posted on May 21st, 2007 in by ChrisLim

Ever wonder that you can do better. Well M$, Yahoo! and a bunch of other websites are now giving you the tools to prove it.

Microsoft’s Popfly (Alpha) and Yahoo! Pipes! look like great tools to mash up websites with open API’s like Google, eBay and Flicker. The only limit is your imaginations. Its pretty cool but I wish I had time to work with it.

Just a little rain

Posted on May 15th, 2007 in by ChrisLim

We knew that we wouldn’t be able to finish a round. So we played the First and Last hole. On the first putt on the first hole the alarm blared.

Not a drip was felt, but there were some pretty lightning in the distance.

On the way home, in the worst driving conditions, I’ve ever been in, the rain beating so hard you couldn’t it basically paralyzed  driving, I pulled into a driveway.

After it let up a little I started to drive towards the highway and lo and behold 2 trees were felled across the road. If I kept driving, I probably would have drove right smack into the first. And caused some pretty damage, not to mention answer to the insurance agent why I was driving in a blinding torrential  rainstorm

But, hey, I did par both those holes…

Hacking Tivo, oh wait I don’t really need to anymore!

I’ve been toying with the idea of putting a larger drive in my Series 3. It works great but since I’ve gone and ordered a 46″ LCD, the drive in there just ain’t gonna cut it.

Lo and behold, Tivo now allows you to add an EXTERNAL Drive in the Series 3! (link/writeup below)

Way to go Tivo! Now how about giving us Tivo-to-go back! Reminder to self: Ask Travis : “What the heck is an eSATA Drive??”

Amazon vs. Best Buy

Posted on May 12th, 2007 in by ChrisLim

I’m wondering how Amazon.com can sell a TV for $600 less than Best Buy… The said TV in question was $2800+ in BB.
I see a lot of people walk out of BB with TV’s and wonder what the actual markup is.

Its probably to cover the huge remodelling they just did… sheesh..

Hooray! I can post again

Nothing like reinstalling Wordpress to fix everything. Now to find all the cool crap I had installed.

Dang, that was sucky. BTW, if you have wordpress installed DONT play with the directory rights. It doesn’t like it and its a PAIN to figure out what you broke. Just suck it up, backup the posts and reinstall.

Nothing like being dogged by Hywell about going to blogger, ech!
