Perry and Whitford
I am finally catching up on all the new season and watched back to back the two episodes of NBC’s Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip. And boy was I blown away. An incredibly fresh new show for 2006. Its kinda like Sports Night meets West Wing.
I’m so happy that Tivo recorded the first episode. Half way through I downloaded the second as Tivo kinda skipped it for a show with higher priority.
Matthew and Bradley has definitely a good chemistry going. It has lots of names too. The Tivo is gonna be a working hard on Monday nights!
Cucumbers and Gas …
We made sushi tonight, and we didn’t have any cucumbers. Off I went to the Meijer gas station as I remembered it was only $2.10/gallon.
Getting to the pump, I put my CC in and started to pump. Nothing came out… A little bewildered, I cancelled the TX and backedup to the previous pump. Nothing too.. the guy on the other side said “I think they’re empty!”.
Shocked, I started to cancel the TX too but two girls yelled “30 seconds!”. “What?” I said. They then said “Look behind you”. A nice pretty red tanker was starting to pump. A minute later the flow started and it was FAST! Combined with the pump pressure of the tanker, I pumped 20 gallons in about 2-3 minutes!
Then, I proceeded to buy 3 cucumbers for 2 bucks and waited in line for a good 5 minutes in the self checkout where some nimrods and tech illiterate people proceed to prove why some people shouldn’t be in that lane. C’mon people! 12 items or less means 12 individual items. 3 bags of different vegetables is 3 bags not 1 vegetable!
“Last Time.. I swear..”
Every year I swear its the last time I set up the company’s golf outing. I have help of course but I usually end up doing the bulk of the work. So, I’m going to write a quick cheat sheet on it for next year so that maybe, just maybe someone else will step up.
So here were the stats for yesterday.
Team stats:
- Shots to within 15 ft of the pin in regulation : 1 (8 ft uphill for which we missed)
- Putts for birdies that went in: 1
- Attempts at eagle: 0
- Fairways hit: >90%
- Bogeys: 1 (on a 95yard par 3!)
- Prizes won: 1 (wifey wins Long Drive for womens on 18th)
- Team spirits: Slightly lower than then Americans at the 2006 Ryder Cup.
- Things we blamed: The weather, the bumpy and slow green, not enough golf, didn’t go to the range before the event, the stupid inaccurate range finder, a few bad course marker distances, the second rain delay.
- Wifey was first name picked in hat for the door prizes which was pretty cool!
