Sanderson & DeHaan Sprinkling SUCKS!
Well this is my review of Sanderson and DeHaan. They suck! Flood my basement and no apologies, no remunerations. Just a “Too Bad So Sad” Response. I do not recommend them. 4 years with them and they never call me to schedule the winterization for the following year eventhoughthey said they would.
Un-Happy Thanksgiving
Lets see I think these qualifies as having a bad day:
- a somewhat failed winterizing of my sprinkler system
- a basement flood (caused by the same company)
- a power failure
- a sticky snowblower
ALL within 24 hours.
So it started yesterday at 11:40am, sprinkler company came to blow out sprinkler system. Yeah, I know its late but they’ve been doing me for 4 years straight! And I STILL have to call them to schedule. But that’s another issue. Guy comes and blows out almost all the lines one is frozen. He was done within 20 minutes.
I returned home from work and “decide” to take a leak in the guest bathroom. I hear this water gushing sound that sounds like my sprinkler is running. I run outside and lo and behold the hose connected to the spigot is flowing water into my Egress window well… possibly for the last 6 hours.
Swearing a slight profanity I run downstairs. In my finished basement, 1 inch of frigidly cold standing water. To cut this story short, I called the sprinkler company, my home insurance and the local cleanup company, Modernistic. We deduced that the sprinkler company forgot to turn off the spigot and since the line was frozen the water didn’t run all 6 hours else there would have been a lot more water. When the weather got a little “warmer” the ice in the line melted and the water flowed. Modernistic did a great job sucked up about 100 gallons of water, and set up blowers.
Went to poker, won about $8 bucks. Went home played BF2 for a couple hours till 2am.
At 5:25 am, I woke up to a weird beeping (UPS for my Tivo). Great… the power was out. Fortunately our house is set to 72° and it took quite a while this morning to get really cold.
Packed up, junked Turkey roasting for the day, and went over to my sisters. Called my house periodically and waited for the answering machine to pick up (smart ‘eh?) At 4:25pm it did.
Came home and stupid snowblower didn’t start. Silly me, when I started it the other day, I didn’t notice it was almost empty. Fortunately, I have some gas…
Now its time for some dinner…

Battlefield 2
Ok, so I really suck in this game. I’m still like the second lowest rank person. My kill stats are abysmal. I jump kits and weapons, a bad idea for a game that is geared towards winning ribbons, medals and badges for special actions and stats.
I’ve spent about 25 hours in this game with a death to kill rate of 5:1. BUT! I still love it.
