Trip to Queretaro,Mexico
We’re here in Mexico. We drove to O’Hare and took a Mexicana Airline flight to Monterey,Mx. We then took another puddle jumper to Leon. Victor Tovar, my counterpart, met us at the airport and took us to Queretaro.
The plant is in this mid-sized industrial park. Filled with large plants for Samsung, Crown, Eaton and other well known companies.
The hotel where we stayed at was somewhat extravagant. It was called Mision Juriquilla. Marble bathrooms, a balcony, kingsize beds, and high speed internet (for a small fee) were available. It set in a resort for which get quite the spot for parties and clubbing during the weekends.
Queretaro is a beautiful city, rich in history and charm. The cobblestone streets breathes an air of ancient tranquility. The excellent restaurants whafts aromas indescribable to me. Old converted mansions now serve as mystical hotels.
I wish I had more time there, sometime during the night, I squatted down and felt the street, they felt warm on that cool night, as I ran my fingers between the stones, I wondered about the laborers that built it. They had no gravel carrying trucks with cement mixers. Perhaps a caravan of burros with side saddles and a rickety cart.
Flying home, we purchased 2 bottles of very smooth Jose Cuervo’s Especial Tequila and a monkey shaped bottle of Kahlua.
